LOCATION AND HISTORY
Part of the area known as the Golden Horseshoe, Barrie is a lovely city located in the Central Ontario, Canada area right off the Kempenfelt Bay Shore, that’s on the western arm of Lake Simcoe. The beginning of Barrie traces back to the First Nations People, who used the shores of Kempenfelt Bay to rest before they continued their travels. The War of 1812 resulted in more people coming through the area as British troops would move in and supplies could bypass the American forces near Detroit. By the end of the war, settlers began to arrive and the first community was born. Today, Barrie is a thriving area full of life, home to many families, offering quality dining, shopping, employment, festivals and more.
Barrie is always bustling with activity. Students attend Nursing college as part of the Georgian college while the Coca-Cola bottling plant is one of many employment opportunities in the town. There are theaters, beaches and large festivals that take place each year, so the city stays quite busy. One would imagine a number of people in the region would be a deterrent for wildlife but it is not. Wildlife still likes to roam the area and we often have to provide wildlife services to assist home and business owners.
WILDLIFE IN BARRIE
In recent years, wildlife has moved into urban centers and are able to thrive by taking up residency within attics, crawl spaces and other areas of the home. Such native wildlife that you might experience an issue with can include skunks, raccoons, squirrels and brown bats; among other creatures. You can easily find such creatures living in your home and humane methods are needed in order to remove wildlife and free your home of these pesky creatures.
Such animals and pests have adapted to human life and seemingly are no longer afraid to enter the home or be around humans. This is a problem as such creatures can carry disease and be harmful to humans when in the home. With our wildlife service options, our trained technicians can find the entry points the pests are using to gain access to your home. Once the entry points are found and the type of creature determined, a plan for removal is put in place. Once removed, the technician will take action to see that the entry points are no longer usable so that you do not face the same issue again in the future. Cleaning and repairs may be needed depending on how long the creature was in the home and the damage that was done.
