As summer winds down and the trees begin to shed their leaves, we are reminded of the beauty of mother nature. We are also reminded of the need to wildlife-proof our homes before winter!

The fall season brings us a new round of wildlife critters into our neighbourhoods. The babies that were born is the summer are now old enough to venture on their own. These raccoons, squirrels, skunks, and mice are eager to learn the ways of their parents.

Wildlife Secrets Revealed!

One of our technicians found a scrap piece of paper on a job site, presumably written by a raccoon in an attic. Their secret “Wildlife School” curriculum, outlining exactly what they will be taught this upcoming season.

These destructive activities include: rummaging, tearing homes apart looking for warmth, look cute, but poop on roof, and their favourite, eat homeowners garbage at night.

Be aware of your homes vulnerable areas. Places you may have avoided repairing in the summer should be dealt with before the temperature drops and your house becomes an attractive option for wildlife to move into for the winter.
