Providers of wildlife removal services get some of the weirdest situations to deal with. As humorous as some of these wildlife intrusion stories are, wildlife control is no laughing matter and is best carried out by experts. In fact, a number of the strangely complicated situations that the experts wind up handling would have been a lot simpler if they had been called in the first place in Milwaukee.
Out for a Swim
Wildlife animals are often found taking a plunge in pools, lakes, or domestic ponds. On October 8, 2018, the online Journal Sentinel reported that alligator had been found swimming in Lake Michigan. This was a shocker considering that alligators are not a normal feature in the region’s wildlife demography. Authorities reported that they were alerted to the presence of the alligator by a kayaker who spotted the animal. They were able to successfully remove the animal and relocate it to a suitable habitat.
Relaxing at Home
Sometimes wildlife animals enter human homes. Wisconsin residents are accustomed to finding species like mice and bats inside their buildings. But can you imagine the shock a homeowner faces upon discovering an unfamiliar face in the home? This was the experience of a woman who entered her living room in her Wisconsin home only to be greeted by the presence of a 7-foot long boa constrictor!
The snake was wrapped around a stool, possibly because it considered the furniture to be prey. Naturally, the woman was petrified especially considering that the snakes are not known to frequent Milwaukee, but she called the wildlife experts, they managed to get the snake into a bucket after which it was removed from the home. Experts expect that this was likely a pet snake that had gotten loose. They shared plans to try to reunite the snake with its owner or placing it in a suitable home.
Caught in a Bind
Sometimes wildlife behaviour in human settings leave animals caught between a rock and a hard place. For some, they may be domesticated by people and will escape their enclosures. Due to changes in their habitat, they may migrate into uncharted territories, which is why Milwaukee residents may be seeing unusual species around. Some animals may wind up in unfamiliar territories after the pursuit of prey or foraging takes them out of their range. If an animal is trapped in an unfamiliar environment then panic will set in very quickly. Novice removal is very dangerous at this point.
