Lucas Brown has been a valued member of the Skedaddle Humane Wildlife Control team since March 21, 2022, and currently serves as Assistant Service Supervisor for the Wisconsin franchise. With over a decade of experience in retail, Lucas made a deliberate career shift by spending a year in landscaping to gain hands-on, outdoor experience before finding his true calling in humane wildlife control. Motivated by a deep passion for protecting both wildlife and homeowners, he quickly became an integral part of the team. Lucas takes pride in mentoring new technicians and has played a key role in their growth and development, contributing significantly to the ongoing success of the franchise. A dedicated wildlife advocate, he is especially enthusiastic about bat season and enjoys educating homeowners about the importance of these often-misunderstood creatures.
Beyond his professional role, Lucas brings a creative and conservation-minded perspective to all aspects of his life. He previously served as senior writer for Dook Dook Ferret Magazine, where he focused on wildlife conservation topics, including the rehabilitation of the endangered North American Black-Footed Ferret. At home, he enjoys the quiet life on his expanding mini farm with his wife, Abby, and daughter, Bonnie. Together, they care for two dogs, three ducks, and tend to an apple orchard and butterfly sanctuary. In his free time, Lucas enjoys walking the dogs, learning Polish, playing the trumpet, and diving into a good book—living each day with curiosity, compassion, and a love for lifelong learning.
